What are the top programs to increase vertical jump?
I currently have a 24′ vertical. I still need about 4 more inches before I can dunk yet though. I have heard that the Vertical Jump Bible is very good. Is it? If not, what other programs would you suggest to buy to help increase my vertical?

There are a number of good programs out there. The program that comes with JumpSoles (from JumpUSA.com) worked very well for me when I was younger, which involves a lot of ploymetric exercises.
I do suggest that if you are playing competitive basketball right now, then you DON’T start a vertical program until the off season. For your vertical to be effective, you’re going to have to get plenty of rest. Playing a season does not provide you sufficient rest and can actually hurt your vertical.
Some things that will also help you out will be to:
- Improve your Core Strength (a stronger core makes your other muscles stronger and more efficient)
- Get proper nutrition (usually about a 60-20-20 ratio of carbs, proteins, and fats for athletes)
Also, I’m sure you know it already, but a couple of the top exercises you should be doing will be:
Squats
Lunges
Calf Raises
Pull-ups
Core Exercises (crunches, back raises, etc.)
Train Like a Track Star and You will FLY! Olympic Lifts +PLYOMETRICS! PROTEINS+CARBS+WATER+YOGA
Yes, the Vertical Jump Bible is very good. It costs $40 though. This guy on youtube has a great site with information for free. http://youtube.com/jumptrainer
